Early this week saw the last of the stunning wooden animal sculptures be installed in the park. These unique interactive elements of the park will be a loved feature, celebrating the local wildlife and encouraging a connection to nature for adults and children alike.
The team are busy completing the feature stone paving to the entrances of the park, and work on the viewing platform is almost complete, creating a lovely place to take a minute for yourself and look out over the serene wetlands. The footpaths have been shaped and concrete is due to be completed this week, ready in time to handover to the landscape team.
Finally, the landscape team will be planting the trees, garden beds and grassed areas while the park furniture is installed. Once the grass and plants have established, the temporary fencing will be removed around the park and the kick about area, creating another space to stroll through or run around in with your family.
We anticipate opening the park in June and we look forward to welcoming you to you new community park.
