There’s more exciting amenity on the way for Clyde North, with construction now underway on the new $20.9 million Bells Road Active Open Space, just minutes from Meridian.
The new sport and recreation precinct will provide even more opportunities for local families to get active, connect and enjoy the outdoors, adding to the growing range of community facilities in the area.
What’s planned?
• Two sporting fields catering for AFL, cricket, soccer and rugby
• Cricket practice nets
• Two netball courts with multi-sport capability
• A playground
• A new sports pavilion
• Footpaths, landscaping and open space
More to enjoy close to home
For Meridian residents, the new precinct will be another welcome addition to the sporting and recreational facilities available close to home.
Meridian is already surrounded by a growing range of local parks, schools, shopping and community facilities, while within the community itself residents can enjoy 12 hectares of parks and 5.6 hectares of wetlands. With Clyde North continuing to grow, projects like the Bells Road Active Open Space will provide even more places for the local community to play, exercise and spend time together.
We look forward to watching this exciting new community space take shape over the coming years. Want to learn more? Visit the City of Casey website for further information and project updates.
