At Meridian Green, we’re always looking for ways to create spaces that bring the community together, and our new design for the linear park does just that.
Originally planned as two separate parks, we had a lightbulb moment: why not connect them? The result is a single, 450-metre green corridor that links the future Government Primary School to the heart of the community, creating a space designed for everyone to enjoy. In fact, with all surrounding stages located within 500 metres of the park, every household will be just a short walk from this vibrant green space!
Eastern End: Active & Engaging
Located near the future school, this vibrant space encourages play, learning and social connection. Highlights include:
- Half basketball court and multi-sport zone with an interactive electronic kick wall
- Large, inclusive play space with informal play elements
- Sheltered BBQ and picnic areas
- Generous kick-about lawn
- Diverse seating options for families and groups
Western End: Relaxed & Intimate
The western end offers a quieter retreat for residents seeking a peaceful connection to nature. Features include:
- Play space designed for younger children
- Cosy seating areas around a central lawn
- Sheltered spots for shade and comfort
A Green Link for the Whole Community
Connecting both ends is a tree-lined corridor that encourages exploration, imagination and activity. You’ll find:
- Garden beds, boulders and logs
- Informal play elements woven throughout
- A central fitness node with equipment for all ages and abilities
This thoughtfully designed linear park doesn’t just link spaces; it links people. It’s a place where kids can play, families can gather and everyone can enjoy the outdoors. We’re certain residents will agree that it’s a fantastic addition to the Meridian Green masterplan, and we can’t wait to see everyone making the most of it!
