Meridian’s Central Park

THE MERIDIAN CENTRAL PARK CONSTRUCTION IS GAINING MOMENTUM, FEATURING A FANTASTIC VARIETY OF AMENITIES AND PLAYGROUNDS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY TO ENJOY! THE MERIDIAN CENTRAL PARK HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE At each entry to your new park, you will find feature paving and pillars, reflecting the beautifully crafted stone work seen throughout Meridian, connecting you to the fantastic amenities on offer, including the toddler and junior playground, youth play-space, BBQ and dinning area, fitness hub and the extensive grassed area with fun goals, where you can have a kick or just relax and watch the world go by. Gather with your friends, family and new neighbours just in time for summer, at the BBQ Shelter and dining facilities, located at the centre of playground, so you can keep an watchful eye on the kids while they let their imaginations run wild. The heart of the park is a the playground, packed with activities to engage the kids, both big and small, featuring an enormous 6m tall eagles nest, which will reward those that conquer the climbing challenge with stunning views across the City of Casey and beyond. For those that don’t have a head for heights, there is plenty of other exciting equipment to explore, including the giant whirl swing, the pirate seesaw ship, two slides which are nestled into a planted mounds, as well as climbing frames, a bicycle rocker, a spinning roundabout and a scooter track. In the youth play-space there are plenty of opportunities to mix with friends old or new, play Basketball on the half-court, or hit a tennis ball on the rebound wall, which also doubles as a climbing wall or just chill out and catch-up. For those interested in parkour there are plenty of opportunities to test out and develop your skills on the custom designed furniture. For anyone wanting to keep active, you can workout at the eight fitness stations, which have been clustered together so that you can work out with friends and help motivate each other. Park Construction Update - October The bulk earthworks, shaping of the park, water and electrical connection installation have been completed and preparation works for the footpath and shelter pad is underway. Delivery and installation of the play equipment will occur in the first 2 weeks of October, followed by the installation of the BBQ shelter and the rebound wall. Planting of the park will occur in November as well as the installation of all the park furniture, followed by safety audits for all the play equipment. Based on the current program, we are on track to open the park before the end of the year, just in time for school holidays.
